It's been two years and two days since I last submitted a deviation.

I've checked in from time to time, if for no other reason than to clear things out, view what I can. I almost never comment.

I've been living life for two years now, and as I near the end of my first workless week in over a year, I can't help but miss the artist in me.

I've shifted my focus to music in the way of art, but... fuck I miss this stuff.  I worry I may never have the time.

But in that two years I've never totally stopped. i have things I could submit, but doing so is harrowing.  I was hardly well-known here, but I was a tad higher in the ranks I guess, in the scheme of things.   I don't think it mattered so much how high I was, but it was nice to know people were looking, and I don't know that I have the time to stay on top of this.

I'm going to submit something now.  A story. I hope you'll read it.  It's very short.

Hey! Sorry to take so long to get back to you. I'm rarely here in more than shadows these days. But feel free to draw it if you're still interested/haven't already. Just shoot me a link to it when you're done, I and the subject would love it. :-)

Eli: I wish you'd've done this for me when I was a kid.
Richie: But you didn't have a drug problem then.
Eli: Yeah, but it still would've meant a lot to me.
